Yale Alumni Fund Volunteer

Current and Future Students Need You!

We invite you to make a difference in the lives of current and future Yale students by becoming a volunteer for the Yale Alumni Fund. BOLD volunteers play a vital role in sustaining the high caliber experience of a Yale education and strengthening our connection to young alumni. As an Alumni Fund volunteer, you are paying it forward, giving future generations the same opportunity you had as a student.

When you join the Yale Alumni Fund as a class agent or chair (that’s what we call our volunteers), you join over 2,000 dedicated alum who are committed to sustaining the flexible dollars Yale depends on to provide financial aid, library resources and unrestricted support for the next generation of scholars, researchers, and practitioners.

Your time commitment as a volunteer is small and can be undertaken exclusively online from all corners of the globe. This role both has great impact on the university and is an easy way to stay connected to classmates while making a difference.

Class agents are responsible for only three things during the fiscal year (July 1–June 30):

  1. Solicit classmates of your choosing (15 to 20 on average) by sending emails and/or texts through our online portal.
  2. Thank classmates in your group who have given.
  3. Make an annual gift of any size to the Alumni Fund each year by June 30.
